Conversation is neither required nor desired

From time to time, I get “random” texts/messages/PMs/DMs/etc from accounts/people claiming to be “interested” in me or something I posted online.
For what purpose I don’t always know. I often figure it’s social engineering; thus I agree with the Sheliak (TNG 3:02) in the fact that:
Conversation is neither required nor desired.
That said, today I got one of those random messages (specifically an IG/DM) from an account claiming to be “Selina” a 38 unmarried female currently in TX and from FL.
Ug, where does one go on this? First problems are FL & TX. Chances are good that we don’t agree on somethings given that alone; but now I’m the one being judgmental. Next, from the get-go it’s a long distance relationship. And honestly with no proof of any facts stated.
My first reaction to “OK, cool; let me know when you land in LAX” and then we can move forward as anything before that is honestly a waste of emotional investment and time.
