I recently started using the paid versions of Bumble, Kinkoo & Tinder, in an effort to find someone. Problem is so many of the users on those sites are either spammers, hackers and just not real.
Can’t understand why I’m always being asked for by Hangouts address or my iMessage address, my WhatsApp number. Oh, wait; I know. Because Hangouts address would be my Google gmail address and my iMessage address would be my Apple iCloud address and they want to try and hack them. As for the WhatsApp number, we’ll that would lead them to my Facebook account.
On Tinder, if not the above requests, they want me to switch over to SnapChat at which point one finds out that they are “selling” (world’s oldest profession). Else they just want more Instagram followers.
On Kinkoo, most can’t read a profile, so you get tons of female doms inquiring if you want to “serve them” or you get offers to become the sugar baby. In the former, they are just lazy and can not read, and in the latter they want your banking info. If you do connect with someone, AND they have not asked for you to switch off the app to another (ie: see above), you quickly learn that they have no money to get to you want what you to send them $s so they can afford to meet you. One knows that will never happen, though; they will just keep the money and run.
Bumble requires the woman to “move first”, so while you can like them, you have to wait and hope they will like you and will respond. To date, that has yielded little in results.
So far, the idea of online dating seems more like online scams and spam.
