Last night I heard clucking from the chicken coop, I went out there and Petunia was very upset with something in the coop with her.
After a little work in the dark and not knowing what I would find inside. But after moments work, I had the door open. With as dark it was I did not see what was trying to get her, as much as I saw her. She ran out, and I followed her over to another section of the backyard. She hid understand some junk out there. I managed to get her and moved her into a 8’x4′ dog run cage.
I had hoped that she would be safe inside there. Seems she was not. When I work up on the morning I found her dead. Something had gotten inside that cage with her and seemed to have killed her in the cage and tried to drag her out, they failed at this and I found her in the corner of the cage dead in the morning.
I felt HORRIBLE for this, she wanted to be saved, I tried, but I guess I did not try heard enough. Very upsetting.
